PERIODICALS

• Current :The library is currently  subscribing to 533 select learned periodicals out of which 186 are Indian and 347 are foreign.  List of Periodicals, currently subscribed to by the library, is  available in the Periodical Section as well as in the entrance lobby, near the “Reception Counter”  for use.

• Back files : To update its periodical collection, the library is acquiring back files of its core periodical titles in microforms and hard copies. Generally, hard copies of the periodicals are available from the year 1985 ( the year of library's establishment) and microforms prior to 1985.

• Hard Copies : The library stocks a collection of 18304 bound volumes of back files of periodicals. A complete index of Periodical Holdings is available  in the Periodical Section for use.

• Microforms : A unique microform collection of 11,875 microfilms/fiche of back files of  167 core periodicals. An index of  Microform Collection,  held by the library is available in the Periodical Section, for use.
